p2p software can’t advertise the availability of copyrighted content

However, for some reason, isp ads across the country still say that you can “download movies, music and games faster” by switching to their service.

I have some scans of a cableone ad for just this thing, and will post them later.

isnoop.net gmail invite spooler closing

I just got the word from the Gmail Product Manager via the telly that my service is no longer appreciated by the Gmail community.

Not being one to piss off a company I respect, I’ll comply with their request by pulling down my site at midnight PDT tonight.

Drupal: Comment Dragging

If you’re going to go mad about features like dragging, it’d be nice to drag comments to where they belong. Why do I say this? I see replies to comments as new comments sometimes, and it’s hard to figure out what they’re talking about until you realize it’s a misdirected reply. It’d be neat to drag it down and to the side to place it as a reply to a certain comment.

I think for a starter it’d be nice to select a comment (checkbox?) and then scroll down to the comment where it needs to be and click a button which POSTs the checkbox data, as “make selected comment(s) a reply to this comment”.

gmail sucks

things it does that sucks:

  1. Shows 20 per page even though I’ve set 100 per page if i use in: as well as a label: filter (shows 100 per page otherwise)
  2. Lacks ability to select all that match certain terms that aren’t on this page, what if i click ‘all’ and mean ‘check all, all that match this search, even ones not on this page, dangit’, so that i can archive a LOT of things that are label:MozBugz and in:Inbox because i just wanted them to start skipping the inbox but filters aren’t enacted retroactively. (I’d hate to make it require a filter to do these kinds of major tasks in the future when they are retroactive)
  3. It doesn’t properly keep track of bugzilla bugs (i saw it mix bugs together because i marked one as a dupe of the other, and so it showed the ‘this is a dupe’ message in the original)

i mentioned the last thing in their make a suggestion page, which currently has some really neat suggestions and i’d like to suggest most of them (not all) instead of just limit 5.

53x11.com Anti-Anti-Piracy Seal

Independent artists need a method to alert fans that they won’t face 20 years of prison time for downloading their songs. In an effort to combat the FBI’s Anti-Piracy Seal, I have created an alternative logo for artists who aren’t concerned with file sharing and federal level copyright infringement.
